Raymond Arthur Tailman, like other rats, lives underground. Unlike other rats, RAT collects more than scraps. He keeps and tells stories.
Traveling by monorail (the best way to get around), RAT lives in a labyrinth of a mansion -- or is it the root system of a very large tree? Either way, peeking in to one of the rooms, you might find a dark cave dripping with stalactites, the peace disturbed by the flutter of bats. Look into another, and you'll see a book and a cup of cold tea that Raymond left behind after he set off on one of his flights of fancy.
RAT's main playground is a park. Not the kind with a swing-set and jungle gym. OK, there might be a jungle gym. But there are also gazebos, cafes, status, gardens, terraces, pools, ponds, and fanciful animals trimmed from hedges.
Like other rats, RAT leaves footprints. Unlike other rats, RAT dreams about the origins of existence. He tries to to trace them on his map, but finds himself instead in a most unlikely place...
But stay tuned -- we have some more of Rat's scrapbook and other items to share on this site in the coming days...
